Instrumental rock is alive is the motto of the VAL EXPERIENCE BAND, the new project from rock-metal guitarist and composer Valéry Granson (aka Val). His major influences lie somewhere between Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons, Joey Tafolla , Ritchie Kotzen, Jeff Beck , Jimi Hendrix, Paul Gilbert, Eric Johnson, Santana, Queen, Frank Zappa and many others. Active in the music scene since the 90s, Valéry has recorded several albums, notably with 15REASONS (3 albums on CNR & Graviton) and Mingawash (2 albums), and played over 250 concerts in Europe, including the famous Szyget festival in Hungary. Today, with the creation of the VAL EXPERIENCE BAND, Valéry is fulfilling one of his teenage dreams. As a fan of instrumental rock, which reached its peak in the 80s and 90s and still fascinates him, he decided to record his first solo album, OSMIUM. Instrumental rock is alive… The OSMIUM album will be available from 13 September 2024, and contains 13 tracks that will take listeners on a journey through rock, blues, hard rock and acoustic ballads, all spiced up with the distinctive Val Experience Band style. The album contains 69 minutes of varied music, and is a must-have if you like rock in the broadest sense of the word. For both recording and live performances, Val has surrounded himself with experienced and active musicians from the Belgian scene : Martin Moreau on drums (Dario Mars, Lemon Straw, FEEL, Thomas Frank Hopper and B.J Scott) François Hantson on bass (FEEL, Run SoFa) Nicolas D’Avell on keyboards (Mistin Productions , THE TERMINAL) Christopher Cansier on keyboards (Mingawash) Adrien Peustjens on rhythm guitar (The Blackos Nachos) OSMI UM was produced at NOISE FACTORY by Gerald Jans, chosen for his skills as a sound engineer, his attentive ear, his musical complicity and his experience (Channel Zero, Machiavel). The VAL EXPERIENCE BAND is a project worth discovering, whether on album or in concert, for an experience that will not leave you indifferent. 2024 will be a promising year for the VAL EXPERIENCE BAND.
